Roaccutane post: How to treat acne scars

Roaccutane post: How to treat acne scars
The famous Roaccutane has revolutionized the treatment against acne by controlling the severity of active lesions in most patients. But the recovery of the skin after treatment is still a challenge. There are a number of treatments for acne scars, since there are a variety of types of scars that may become the face after curing in a more severe acne. For this reason the treatment of acne scars is not easy and should always be performed by a dermatologist.

Acne scars are classified according to their characteristics and severity. One of the existing classifications was established by Goodman and Baron in 2007, which I will present here. Today I'll also talk about the treatment of the most common and mild acne scars are the blemishes. In future posts I will talk about the treatment of lesions with relief.

Classification

Grade I - Macular. Are a kind of flat spot on the skin which may be red, lighter or darker than the skin of the patient, but have not raised. Can be seen from varying distances depending on their size.

Grade II - Lightweight. Injuries are embossed forming depressions or elevations on the skin and are usually not perceived there is a distance greater than 50 cm that are easily disguised with makeup or shave for men, but when nédico examines the skin is still smooth to the esticarmos ends of the scar.

Grade III - Moderate. Are lesions with greater relief, can be seen at distances beyond 50 cm and are not easily disguised with a beard or with makeup.

Grade IV - Record. Injuries are obvious even to more than 50 cm away, are not well disguised with makeup or shave and smooth skin is not being stretched in the same examination.

Treatment

The most commonly used treatments for this type of scar treatments are creams, Mild peeling, microdermabrasion (mechanical peeling as Crystal), laser or intense pulsed light. The laser is used in more red lesions. Dark and flat scars are generally treated with bleaching ingredients and enhancers of cell renewal as retinoic acid, hydroquinone, kojic acid, or azelaic acid. Glycolic acid can also be part of the treatment of this kind of brand and occasionally laser. Already the lighter patches than tint skin are more difficult to treat already tried to make small assaults on the skin using a tattoo needle without ink, to stimulate the production of melanin, but the result is not very good. Treatments for vitiligo are a possibility but due to their side effects andprice treatment is restricted to the most serious cases of great social impact on patients' lives. A promising but it is still expensive and not much time to know exactly how to treat are the results of long-term is the Re-Cell.
